I have a Gm 350/260 hp with a mechanical fuel pump and wanting to switch to a electric fuel pump, and was wondering if I leave the mechanical fuel pump rod in or take it out before I put the block off plate in. Thanks

Best to remove it but it doesn't matter. Without the pump's lever in there, the shaft will just slide down at bump into the block-off plate.

If I were you take it out before you seal it-Someday you might end up going back to the mechanical one-less wear/tear on the camshaft
