88 Firebird Speedometer

I have a 1988 Firebird with a 5.7 350. We swapped the engines from fuel injected over to carburated. My speedometer does not work now. Would this have something to do with the engine not being fuel injected now. If so is there a way I can wire the speedometer to work with the new engine?

The problem here could be the vehicle speed sensor not feeding the computer an input signal due to compatibility of speedometer assy-

The tranny has a VSS-might wanna use the correct type tranny for it-
