Free Automotive Repair Advice by Certified ASE Technicians

Bob and Ken are father and son professional mechanics. They created this web site to pass their knowledge and to help car owners who too often feel at a disadvantage when obtaining auto repair services. In 1975, Bob left his position as Vice President of a Pharmaceutical Company to follow his hobby, working on cars. Skilled in mechanical engineering with an extraordinary talent to discover and solve problems, Bob opened a service station in his southern California hometown and became a certified ASE master mechanic.

It did not take long before Bob's reputation as a hard working honest automobile expert spread. Ken was just 14 years old when he started helping Bob at the station, after school and on weekends; father and son, working together helping others as a profession just as they had done so many times for close friends previously in their home garage. It was more fun than work. It was not long before, Bob and Ken found the service station environment could not accommodate their ever-expanding business so they opened an automobile service center.

Ken took advantage of every opportunity to learn about cars as he grew up. He learned from his father while continuing his education with computers. He has been an ASE certified mechanic for more than 10 years and now has over 25 years of experience in automotive repair and computer diagnostics. Bob and Ken still enjoy their father and son hobby, cars. Their decision to use their evenings and weekends to spread their knowledge to others through the Internet was made in the hope that by doing so they could show the world that automobile mechanics as a whole do not deserve the reputation that a few dishonest mechanics have perpetrated. We have now grown to be one of the internet's best sources for car repair questions and information.
