The VCS light went on. Used a code reader to determine if it's the yaw sensor. Found a site that describes basically how to replace it. Acura wants $1,000.00 for the part. I can a used part on eBay for $55.00.

Question: should I buy the eBay part? Do I need to do any kind of chip/computer reset? Do I need to do anything to clear the light? The sire mentions "VSA sensor neutral position memorization." Is that necessary?

It does look like the sensor needs to be set up with the HDS scan tool. Here is the location of the sensor which is under the gear shift selector and how to replace and set it up in the images below. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Thanks for the reply. Is setting up the sensor with the scan tool something I can do? And do you think it's okay for me to install a used yaw sensor?

I would give it a try, if not the tool will need to be used so you have nothing to lose.
