The original problem is at the bottom of the gear stick where the springs are this plastic piece broke. Result was having to get the stick in the right spot in neutral to start the car, some trouble shifting from first to third with slow acceleration and a little higher than normal RPM's. Once in fourth and fifth no problems. This happened on a weekend and living in small town was not able to find the part I needed so I would have to wait until Monday. Well, on Monday higher RPM's slower acceleration. I was able to I assume got the gear stick aligned right that all gears shifting great. Few minutes later I was unable to go at all in first or reverse. Now I can put my car in any gear with out the clutch pushed in. And say I am in first gear, I can let go of the clutch and my car will not turn off.
Could be clutch but the way my car stopped working I do not think so. I feel something is loose or got worn out, shift cables? Gear box or the stick itself.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a clutch disc that has fallen apart which will cause this issue. Here is a video showing what is involved in doing the job with diagrams below to show you what it will be like for your car below. The car is different but the procedure is the same.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find.

Cheers, Ken
