So, the window regulator on these comes with a stupid idea where Benz uses rivets to hold the panel in place. I got it out and bought one with the regulator already riveted. I just need to rivet the panel now to the frame. I looked everywhere and it seems like someone mentioned size 3/16", I bought some that was 3/16" x 1/4" Aluminum Blind Rivets, 4.8 x 6mm Pop Rivets, but it does not hold it, they are too small. I am not very familiar with their sizes or what fits what or what blinds mean. Could you see if the instructions on replacing the regulator say anything about the size of these rivets? Not the ones that attach the regulator to the panel. The bigger ones that go all around the panel.

Hi,

You need a 1/4" regulator rivet for the job. If you look below, I attached a pic showing the OEM part. The part number is also in the picture.

On a lot of these, sheet metal screws were used, so that is another option. Just make sure they are short and don't stick through the panel too far.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

joe
