Will not start after sitting for a few weeks. Cranks but won't start.

Had same problem last year and it was determined that the security system was the cause. It did not recognize code on key with chip. How do you correct this situation? Can I use the extra key which has no chip?

That's not something you can correct yourself. It requires a factory level scan tool so you are likely headed to the dealer on this one.
