My car is a CLA45 AMG.

4 matic currently unavailable Next message pops up is "do not shift gears take car to dealership".

I just had it in the shop because it would go into second gear while driving. They said I needed a new transmission. I got it back after the new transmission was in and a light came on saying "coolant level low" I take it back in, they said it was a bubble that worked its way out. I drive it home and the same message popped up about coolant level being low. I went to take it back up there the next day and now it won't start and the message said "4 matic unavailable and then a message in red popped up and said Do not shift gears take to dealership. Please help!

Hi,

Unfortunately, this means it needs to go back to who did this work. Basically, it is telling you the computer thinks there is something major wrong with the transmission and driving the vehicle can damage it. Granted this could be a serious transmission issue or it could just be a lose connection.

The 4matic system is your 4WD system. The unavailable message is usually because this system is too hot so it shuts it off and puts in 2WD. However, the "do not shift to D" message is the really concerning one and I would suggest calling them back and they should send a truck to tow it back if the message comes back next time you go out there to start it.

Let me know what they find and I will be happy to let you know if that makes sense as to what this could be. Thanks
