I just bought this used car and I smell the engine odor inside the cabin. What can I do? Change the air-filter? Is it a leak?

Thanks

What do you smell? Is it oil or maybe an exhaust smell?

Seems like you have an exhaust leak. You should take it in to a shop so that they can pressure test the exhaust system. Most likely the exhaut manifold will be leaking towards the left side corner and sometimes the right side corner will leak also. You can try and have them retorque the nuts but depending on how bad the leak is you may need to replace the gasket and check the manifold for warpage.
