1999 Volvo S80 Starts every try but Wont run

Was running parked it for a few weeks and now it starts every try but wont stay running will not respond to accelerator any ideas?

How is the battery and charging system? If low voltage then that can cause the electronic throttle to not respond. The electronic thottle could already start to go bad as well? Remove the throttle and clean it out. Then remove the fuse for the the throttle under the engine compartment for a few minutes. Reinstall fuse and start up. Also you may want to have it scanned for trouble codes. If you have throttle codes for a faulty potentiometer then you will need to replace the throttle and load new software.
