2003 Volvo S60 Clunck

This is not so much a noise as a gentle clunck. It is most noticeable at slow speed when the throttle (torque)is applied or released. Either way the noise is the same when the throttle is just dipped slightly or is released.

either suspention components and bushings are worn or loose, or there is wear in the gears of the transmission.

check all bearings and components for looseness or wear, then have a transmission shop check it over if nothing is found.
