2003 Volvo S40 Dies as soon as foot off of the gas

The car will crank up only when I give it gas but it dies as soon as I take my foot off of the gas. It will drive only if I give it gas constantly.

To start, remove the idle air control valve and spray some carb cleaner to clean it out. Make sure you can slie the valve back and forth. Also remove the throttle body and clean that as well. Let me know what happens.
