2001 Volvo S40 my engine coughs

I have prob. When I put my food down car starts coughing. For a little while than it goes to normal. It`s a bit laisy engine too

No ther `s no ligth flash at all. And car always couhging when I drive slow with high gear.

First thing you need to do is have the engine control module scanned for codes. If you do have codes it could be related to your problem. Also if there are codes can you post them up here.
