Manual transmission won't shift.
I have an '85 volvo wagon that won't shift into gear. it's like it's permanently stuck in neutral. i can even start it without pushing in the clutch. i can also shift it without pushing in the clutch. nothing happens, clutch or not.

that really depends on what you do rebuild , replace , volvo , reman after market, i would check around you may find going inside and checking it may reveal something small like a shift fork which is cheap but labor intensive , im sorry to say it will cost either way , if you like the car and want to keep it i would find a manual trans shop and see if you can get and estimate
thanks
