Engine Performance problem
1998 Volvo C70 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 210K miles
Hello, my 98 c70 (5 cylinder) was running fine. It Sat for 3 weeks. Once I started it up, about 20 minutes into it, BUT drove it for 2 hours and THEN T DIED when I almost got home...it starts sputtering and running rough in gear. Now it happens all of the time after about 10-15 minutes. Once it dies after being in gear, it is hard to start. IT IDLES fine, but once in gear it sputters and usually dies. I have so FAR: Replaced plugs, cleaned the MAF, cleaned the throttle body, new air filter, checked hoses, but can't figure where vacuum hose came off of AFTER the MAF....now it seems to idle with a thin white smoke?...any help is appreciated...my next thought is change the fuel filter...? But have no idea where it is..(so far)..Thanks again, Great site, Rick
