1996 Volvo 850 Front Wheel Drive Automatic unknow miles

i am having a problem trying to open the hood. This car has an interior hood release which should release both front catches, however the passenger side catch will not release so only one side opens. Is there a way to release the passanger side catch without hood being open?
thank you for your help and suggestions as I have tried several otc repair manuals and online searches and I can't find any ideas for this problem

HI there,

Sometimes if you have someone apply a bit of pressure on the bonnet over the lock while you pull the release will be enough to trigger the lock, try this, it will be an adjustment problem, I would get a panel shop to re adjust as it is a tricky thing to get correct, try this.
