Quick Wiring Info
1995 Volvo 850 2.4 MFI DOHC 5 cyl
Automatic transmission
While removing starter to check if it was ok, I forgot to mark which of the wires go to which post on the solenoid/starter combo. 4 all together, need locations for the 3. The simple clip is easy enough to terminal "S" in the reference picture.

There are two heavy gauge wires with circle hoops, both red, one with a black cover that goes about 2 inches down and the other without black cover. And a small gauge wire also with a circle hoop. The starter/solenoid has two posts open for the three wires. The post closest to the starter has a (ground wire braid?) going to the starter. Please help!

Terminal B would be the battery positive cable going to it. Terminal S is the clip on. Once you bolt up the starter to the transmission housing, that would be your ground. So by the picture you posted the braided wire coming out from the starter would go to Terminal M to complete the ground path to the starter solenoid. So for the Terminal B the positive cable from the battery goes there and the other red cable if you follow it should go to the alternator. If it does then that also will go on Terminal B
