1987 Volvo 740 car stopped running while driving
Engine Performance problem
1987 Volvo 740 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
Have this 740 gle. Quit running while my wife was driving, it would restart but has gotten progressively bad. Now it won't start at all. Have replaced BOTH fuel pumps, fuel filter, fuel regulator, and today a new ignition coil. Still won't start. What next, does anyone know what this issue could be.

Check you air mass meter and see if that is the problem.
Otherwise make sure your distributor isn't cracked.
Or your coil is sparking ok.

Hi Had the same problem, changed the fule pump relay problem solved , hope this helps
