Engine Performance problem
1987 Volvo 740 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Use to run great--but now:

Keeping my foot buried on the accelerator just to keep the engine running, when released in stalls out.

Check all vacum lines and breathers, checked timming marks on timming belt, replaced spark plugs, cleaned throttle body, clean battery connections, checked compression 135, 120, 145, 140. checked distributor cap and rotor--looks OK.

Was sitting for a while, but would start every now and then just to keep it running--now runs terrible.

Can some one give some advise on what to do next?
