I have a 92 240 that the brake lights do not work. The bulbs appear to be fine, and all other tail lights work fine. I've read about checking the brake switch under the steering column, but just what am I supposed to do to check it? Thanks for any help you may have.

If you have a continuity tester check for cont with switch pressed, and not pressed, continuity should exist only in the pressed position, also make sure when the pedal is pushed down, the switch operates, the plunger moves free, the switch itself may not be located correctly. Most eithe just push in or pull out by hand, tho some have a locknut and are threaded on!

Ok, upon further review, it seems I have a short somewhere. The fuse for the breaklights keeps blowing. Thanks for the advice, I have a buddy with a continuity tester, so I have to get a hold of him.
