Getting gas and spark, starts, but no power and dies. Checked everything my mechanic friend and I can think of. Ever see or hear of anything similar?

Check the exhaust system could be a clogged catalytic converter if okay check the fuel pressure with a gauge and comeback with the readings we start here.

Exhaust is clear and I repaired main fuel pump (hasn't worked since I bought the car lol so have two pumps now, no difference in problem) my friend thinks it could be the mass air flow sensor (filament intact and clean) and wants to know if there is a way to test.
