I made an 80 mile drive yesterday, and to my surprise the odometer never changed. I reset the trip meter just to check, and neither the the odometer nor the trip meter were changing when I was driving 65 on the freeway. Is this something easy to fix? If it requires much money, is it something worth taking car of?

Go to hyperocity. Com. If you have the same problem I had with a 1990 240DL (small broken gear within the odometer), this site has a step-by-step pictorial that tells you how to repair and gives info as to where to purchase a new gear ($29 including shipping). Took about one hour to repair. Saved big bucks! Would recommend repair so you can say actual mileage (or close to it) is shown on odometer if and when you sell. Otherwise, the buyer will be wondering how many miles you actually have on the vehicle when you sell it.L
