I hope this has an easy solution. I just received this volvo 240 DL and on the drive home it ran great, But when I checked the compartment there was oil that spilled out of the dipstick area.

I looked at Autozone for a new pcv valve and I dicocovered that there is no option for a 240 DL model only a 244 DL model and that it does not use a pcv valve.

A clogged flame screen did the same thing for my brick. Follow the tube coming out of the valve cover and it should lead you to a plastic connector. Remove the connector and you should be able to see daylight through the flame screen. Mine was about 85% clogged when dip stick started popping out.
Hope this works for you.
