1986 Volkswagen Van Trans stuck in low gear, park and neutr
Transmission problem
1986 Volkswagen Van 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 106k miles
1986 Volkswagon Vanagan, found to have too much oil, removed excess oil. Started in Neutral because unable to start in park because trans was engaging. Once started it would drive in low gear not able to shift to 2nd or 3rd.
This problem just started today. Help! What am I to do?

excess of oil in the transmission most likely blow out some internal seals you'd better take it to a transmission shop
