Electrical problem
1982 Volkswagen Van 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 230000 miles
I am looking to buy this van. I put a charger on the battery. It has been sitting for a while. I tried to jump from charger. Wipers turned on for a second. Something happened, not sure. I let the charger charge the battery and came back to start it. No sign of life anywhere. No wipers, no lights... no power.
Do you have any pointers on where to start trouble shooting? I am taking the battery to get tested.

the van has several wires on the positive cable, make sure the cables are clean and all of the wires are hooked up but it sounds like a bad battery.
