I have a 99 VW Passat with 130,000 miles on it. Just tonight I was driving home when I noticed my RPM's were 0. No matter how fast or how slow I was going the RMP's read zero. This is a new problem.

Also, my ASR, ABS, Oil, E-brake light all go on at the same time. The warnings flash and beep. I think that is an ABS Control Module problem. However, can you help by making some suggestions as to what this can be?

Hi,
I am having the identical problem that you described on my 1999 passat with 134,000 miles. The rpm reads zero and the abs and oil light, and check engine light are all coming on. I had just finished doing an overhaul on the valves and thought that I had forgotten to connect some wiring but it all seems to be connected. I was wondering if you or anybody else figured out what was wrong and why it was happening to you?
Thank you for your time,
Jeremy

I found out I need a new ABS Control Module. I had my mechanic take the old ABS Module out.

I found a company online to re-build my ABS module. It's much cheaper to have it rebuilt than to buy a whole new one.

If you need anything else just let me know.
