1995 Volkswagen Passat 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

i just put in a new thermostat in my vw passat and now when I go to start my car it will not start. But when we pop the clutch it starts right away. I know Its not the battery because it is fully charged. Im thinking has something to do with one of the saftey sensors.

But when we pop the clutch it starts right away. Sounds like no cranking condition.

Possibilities here could be the starter, starter relay, park and neutral switch/clutch switch and ignition switch assuming the battery and connections are good.
