My girlfriend's cabrio's alarm goes off everytime she opens the door or puts the key in the ignition. I believe it is the Anti-Theft Device, and should be fixed by putting the key in the driver side door and turning it. Problem is, that her automatic locks don't work, so she never locks her doors. I tried disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery, but no luck. any other way to reset the ATD?

Call the dealer, if there is an aftermarket alarm in the car you will have issues

If you still have the car the problem lies in the wire harness that connects the drivers door to the body. If you pull the rubber boot back from the body you'll see broken wires there. If you cannot repair them w/ butt connectors just add a lenth of wire to lengthen them. Broken wires are known to be found here!! Ask if you have any further questions. Let me know if this was the solution. Good luck!
