1999 Cabrio roof pump -- where is it?

We recently bought a 1999 Cabrio with a power roof. It worked fine for a few weeks, and then we noticed some kind of oil seeping up through the carpeting on the floor in backseat. Shortly thereafter, the roof started to start and stop when it was moving, and now it doesn't move at all.

I can hear the pump running when I press the button, so I know it's not an electrical problem.

I'm theorizing that the hydraulic fluid has leaked out of the pump, since that fits all of the symptoms. What I don't know if where is the pump hiding, and are there any known fittings that are prone to be the problem?
Any help would be appreciated!

For the record it's a 2l(?) 4 cyl, with 98k miles.

Thanks in advance.
