Models venting the cooling system
Engine Cooling problem

How do you, or can you vent the cooling system on a 87 16v VW Scirrocco? I've replaced the water pump, took the thermostat out, replaced the fan temperature sensor, flushed the system. When the car is started it runs fine, no bubbles in the expansion tank, but when it heats up the water starts to boil. Could it be air in the sysem? What could be causing this?

Hi there, check that the cooling fans are coming on, and have the radiator cleaned & flow tested first.
