1984 Other Volkswagen Models

I have a 1984 vw vanagon runs great and starts great except when its raining or foggy then it will not start by key. But runs fine if push started.

Start by checking for 12 volts at the starter when key is in crank position. If it has it, then the starter is bad. If not test the clutch switch for power on both sides when clutch is engaged
