2003 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Automatic 135000 miles

I have a 2003 VW Jetta 1.8T. Lately, I have noticed the cold air coming out of the vents forming condensation. I always have the air recycle button pressed, as it cools off the car faster with less power loss from the engine. I have never seen condensation forming at the vents before, why is it all of a sudden happening?

Also, around the same time the condensation problem began happening I noticed that if I did not let my car heat up after sitting for a period of time, started it, and turned on the air conditioner, when I put the car in reverse the brakes did not work properly. The brake pedal will only go down an inch or two, and while it slows the car slightly, it will not stop it. The only way to stop the car from rolling backwards is to throw it into reverse. If my air conditioner is not on, or I let my car heat up for a few minutes I do not have this problem. Again, my car has never had this problem in the past. Any ideas as to what's going on?

either the humidity in the air is causing this, or the heater core is bad.... do you have to add coolant??? usually all the moisture is drained out of your air box through a tube located in the firewall.... when you have the ac on, do you have a puddle of clear water accumulate under your car?
