Engine is 2.0l. gas. Coil tests OK. Battery OK. Distributor OK. Crank sensor?- coil is getting signal from it, I believe. Car was starting and running fine. Then nothing-as tho an ignition cut-out switch was interfering. Tried ign. switch. Trans. is in park. Only other interruptor I'm aware of is car alarm. Not sure how to check that. Any ideas? Thanks, Jon

Hi Jon5555,

Thank you for the donation.

Need to confirm the following to understand to situation better.

Was anything done prior to this happeing?
Was there any indicator lights showing?
You mentioned no power, did you check all the fuses?

I was wrong about part of the problem. The engine WILL turn over fine. There is no elec. going to anything, the coil, the crank sensor, etc. Fuses are all good. Got a hint from someone that the ECM could be it. Possible? If so, how is that tested? Thanks in advance, Jon P.S. Answer to your first two questions is no.

Check Ignition coil # 2 terminal Black/violet wire, battery voltage should be present with ignition ON. If there is no battery voltage, check # 29 Fuse ( 15 A ) in fuse panel.

I have sent some schematics via email, hope it is helpful.

If power is not available, it should not be a PCM fault. When PCM are faulty, power would be available but starting is impossible or intermittent.
