Like the subject says my 99 jetta wont start or turn over. My wife went to the store and when she got home to drop stuff off. The car would not turn over or start. The odd thing is the radio works but none of the doors will lock or unlock with the switch. The trunk will not even open with the key. I am lost on this one

This is going to sound strange but it sounds like somehow the anti theft system was activated. This will shut down the car for the most part. It looks like there is a relearn procedure but it requires a special scanner. So I hate to say it but is sounds like it may be a dealer fix this time.
I would check the starter relay and such but be careful do not disconnect the battery as this will trigger the anti theft and the theft lock the radio and such and the dealer needs to put in a code to deactivate it if you do that.
