1998 Volkswagen Jetta car loosing power

1998 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Manual 111000 miles

my car in a '98 and i never had problems with it, but recently i cranked it and it started idling really low, and sometimes cutting off. i changed the rotary and cap i changed all the spark plugs. not only that but when i driving the car, it looses power all the rpm's die. if i take my foot off the gas and put it back on it starts back. help!

hi, two things I would check, the crank/hall effect sensor, and the idle air control valve, both of these sensors are usually the culprit, could be on ore even both, rest assured this is nothing major in my opinion
