Jetta GL. Starts but very poor acceleration/no power. Seems as if not enough air/choke on. Shop diagnosed as faulty fuel distributor. Replaced (with used) but no improvement. Replaced - fuel pump (plenty of fuel pumps through) /plugs/wires/distributor cap-rotor, no improvement. Did try to swap air flow device (device under fuel distributor) with a different one from a GLI. Won't idle but will rev up. Is this the Mass Air Flow sensor? Could this be the problem or is there some other switch/sensor causing the problem?

Thx
