Hey guys I just replaced my battery one month ago and I go to start it this moring and its dead. When I replaced the old battery, it had tons of corrosion on it. I used a corrosion cleaner with a metal brush and then replaced the battery.
The new battery now has corrision on the positive side and the car wont start.
Do you think it was a dud battery? What could cause it to already have so much corrosion?

Hi there,

Clean the battery with bicarb soda and warm water, this will neutralize the acid, ensure that the terminals are clean (inside the clamp) and tight check earths and check that the alternator charge rate is correct, an over charged battery will gas off and cause corrosion problems.
