Error code p0411: is it related to rece

Computer problem
2001 Volkswagen GTI 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 75,000 miles

My check engine light came on this week and learned that the error code means a faulty air combination valve.

I am wondering if this is related to two recent repairs.

In March, I had a rebuilt a/c compressor and booster vacuum hose installed.

All was well until last month, when I learned I needed a new oil gasket cover and a cooling hose assembly.

No problems until this week when the light came on.

My question: could either of these previous repairs lead to this error code or do I have another odd problem on my hands? The car has less than 75,000 miles on it, but I am ready to trade it in on something reliable.

Any input would be very much appreciated! Thank you.

Hi creeolina,

Thank you for the donation.

I need to know the exact trouble code to understand the problem and see if it is related.

P0411 = Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected.

This should not be related to the previous repairs.

I have sent you a file with the diagnostic procedures.

Woodrow, I will alert KHLow of your need. If he doesn't reply within a day or two, post here again and I will see if I can locate the same procedure he sent to the others.

Everyone else, did the procedure KHLow sent you fix the problem?
