2000 Volkswagen Beetle Door Panel

REMOVAL:
If necessary, make sure you have the radio code.
Make sure the ignition if OFF , then disconnect the negative battery cable.
Insert a flat screwdriver between the handle trim and handle, and carefully press handle trim off door trim.
To remove the window crank handle:
Slide the spacer ring in direction shown (securing clip is released) and pull window crank from mechanism.
Remove the3 mounting bolts.
Unclip the door trim at the sides using pliers.

Lift the door trim upward out of window recess seal.
Unclip the cable guide using a flat screwdriver, pull out the bracket in the direction of the arrow, and unhook the cable hook.
Disconnect the harness connectors and remove the door panel from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION:
Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, noting the following:
Before installing door trim, check all clips and replace as necessary, and insert into mounts of door trim.
After connecting battery, check that the vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric windows) is operating properly.
