1968 Volkswagen Beetle Repair Question

1968 Volkswagen Beetle
My engine makes a vibrating noise when accelerating, and for some reason i'm getting water in my oil but I'm not sure from where. Please Help, I'm stummped

Check the compression or get it pressure tested to find where its leaking-could be a blown headgasket/craked head or block-

I can't see how you get water in the oil of an air cooled engine. It might be gas.
