How to set timing on my bug?

You see where the motor comes together the seam. Under fuel pump that is the TDC mark. Should be two notches on pully. With timming light turn dist so second make lines up. If this engine only has one align it. Dist clamp 10mm. Make sure idle does not exceed 700 rpms.
