1961 Volkswagen Beetle electrical problem

I have a 1956 VW beetle that i'm trying to put back on the road. Its is comverted to 12 volts and allways ran fine. My question is the electricity is reaching the coil and the distributor but there is no electricity reaching the distributor to the coil to the spark plugs.I've change the coil for a new one, put a new battery and cables. Its cranks but nothing happens.

Hi there, with a test light, place one end on earth and the other on the (-) coil terminal, turn the engine by hand with the ignition on and the distributor cap off, does the test light come on when the point open? Do you have a points gap about.008" is OK. Check this first.
