2006 Vauxhall Corsa Two Wheel Drive Manual 44000 miles

Hello,
I was fiddling with the main headlight switch in my corsa and somehow the plastic part that the dial clips on snapped off therefore the dial does not turn anything. It is now just a stump which can just about be turned with plyers. I was wondering how I would fix this if I bought a whole new part. Would it involve soildering and if so how much would a garage charge to fix? Thanks Very much

There is a plastic wiring connector on the rear of the switch which just clips into place. So there would be no soldering involved.A repair centre would charge 30 mins labour plus parts cost at most to repair. You could check if a dealer sells just the plastic push on part seperately?
