Oil burning

2003 Vauxhall Corsa 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 53OOO miles

I was wondering really what can be done about a car that burns oil like there is no tomorrow and what reasons there are for it? thanks

have a compression test carried out ... possible worn valve seals .. valves .. piston rings ?

cud be a number of things why a car burns oil , cud be a sensor gon bad , messin up the fuel mix , or worse case valve stems or piston rings
