Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Vauxhall Astra V8 Manual 150000 miles
starts great when been sat for time/days.
but if nip to shops then re-start it, say, after half hour, won't start. at junctions its revs just fall then cuts out.
dead spot apparently at standstill/low revs then dies, and will not re start. will with jump leads, but still does not last for long
new battery?
new alternator?
summat else?
help. i am female, and aint got a clue, and do not want to be ripped off yet again, by a garage, til i know the problem.
