1993 Vauxhall Astra Car does not start

Hello, I hav just bought a vauxhall Astra 1993 last week. Used it 3 times and parked it for another 3 days without use. Today when I want to start the car it does not make even a noice but all the lights will turn on. The previous owner gave me some documents showing he has changed the battery and alternator in may 2008. Could you please help me to find out the problem. Thanks

Sounds like the starter motor. Give it a tap a couple of times with a hamme. Then try and start the car. If this fails check the wiring to the starter or replace starter.
