About 1 mth ago now I noticed all my dash indicator lights all staying on even after the car was started and I was starting to drive. I ignored it because to me it was more of a distraction, then with in a week my car started making a grinding noise, whether my foot was on the brake, gas pedal, or just parked with the car still running. I could feel the vibration when my foot was on the gas pedal thou. So another week or so passed and I was driving and my car started sputtering like it was going to stop. That was it I called a tow truck, my mechanic changed the breaks not sure if that fixed the problem couldn't fix the dash lights, then when I went to drive it I close my door and the sound that tells you your door is not shut is now staying on as long as the engine is on! What the heck is going on with my poor car? I only drive locally no freeway driving at all.

Thank you for any insight before I shell out a lot of money at the dealership.

Have you had the alternator and battery tested yet? Also checked all the battery connections? Checked for codes in the computer?

My mechanic ck'd everything, duplicated sputtering once, couldn't duplicate grinding noise, and could not access the computer code. He mentioned something about the dealership having to do it. Which even if the electrical stuff is fixed they aren't sure the stuttering and grinding wont come back

Sounds like he didn't have a advanced scan tool that can read all the computers and there codes.I really doubt the grinding is related the other issues. The first thing I would do is have a full scan done on all the computers and write down all the exact code numbers.
