Turn signals blink too fast

My turn signals blink and click too fast. All bulbs are burning. My hazard lights work but they blink too fast as well.

Is this just the hazard switch or is there a flasher somewhere else on my car that needs replaced?

Hello, I am Danny.

The flasher itself sounds like the problem. It looks like the flasher is built into the hazard switch. I have attached a picture of what the part looks like and it is about $20.00. I am having a heck of a time finding a how-to or step-by-step instructions to attach for you. I will keep looking in the meantime. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

Danny,

Thank you so much! I sort of thought that was the case, but wanted to make sure there was not something easier than that part.

I figure it is about the same process as some of the other year model Alero's. It is so hard to find anything about the 1999's though!

Hello again.

Here is a quick overview on how to replace. Basically there is a plastic bezel that locks it in place. To get it out you remove the center air duct louver (flat tool at one end to pop it off the post). Next you need to remove the I/P cluster so you can reach into the area behind the switch. Then use a pick to release the retainers on the bezel, it comes out the front. Then remove the screws that hold the switch in place, one through the I/P area and a couple through the vent. Then the switch pulls rearward and out. Reverse the process to install the replacement. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
