Hi,
I have the FSI model. I just recently got a headliner replaced. This car is in perfect condition which is an import from Japan except for the front headliner had to be re-glued back. When I got the car back, I noticed after arriving home that the rear door is not opening using both the remote or the VW Logo at the back. The reverse light, fog lights, rear wiper and glass heater are not working. All things which are connected on the rear trunk door are not working. I asked the guys who worked on my car but unfortunately their mechanic will not be in until after one and half weeks. Initially they said they just repaired the headliner back but with close inspection, they replaced it. It is a different color now and it is not perfectly glued.

I need my car in two days time for a long drive and would want this to work. I do not want to pay another mechanic and spend almost $500.00 for a repair when I can get it for free from the previous mechanic. I already searched online and found some common issues which are the locking mechanism or the wire connecting from the door and the body. I check these wires for tares (both sides) but everything is fully intact. I check the locking mechanism and seems like it is brand new. The rear sprinkle by the way is the only thing working there. I also checked the Fuse box inside beside the steering wheel and the fuse box inside the engine compartment. Every single fuse are working using a multi-meter and visual check.
Is there a main point where I can check if there is a twelve volt source going to the rear trunk door? Like a connector which the headlining guy forget or accidentally disconnected? Thank you in advance! Cheers!
