Trunk opening issues

I was getting my golf clubs out of the car yesterday, and it took me a while to get the trunk open. Once I got my clubs out, I shut the trunk. I was trying to get it open again today and it did not work. I am going away for the weekend and Iam leaving early tomorrow morning, so I obviously need to get the trunk open. What should I do?

Not opening with the remote? Can you hear the solenoid click at the boot lock?

Some of those did have an internal button release, so if you can push the external button and nothing is opening, I feel that it will be a failing lock return spring, you can try pushing down on the boot as you push the button, from memory the fuel tank is behind the rear seat, but if not and it has the split seat option get into the boot and release it manually otherwise you may have to drill out the lock and manually probe the release to try and trigger it open, obviously this will destroy the lock so it is an option of last resort, persistence may release the lock and when open you will have to examine the mechanism to determine if it can be repaired or needs replacing.
